"Welcome to Bucktown" Community Mural RFP
Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33 and the Bucktown Community Organization are seeking qualifications and proposals for a "Welcome to Bucktown" mural wall installation to be painted at 1945 N Damen Ave. This piece of public art will be highly visible located along one of Wicker Park Bucktown’s popular commercial corridors and in close proximity to murals by other renowned artists such as CZR PRZ and Hebru Brantley. The purpose of this mural is to welcome visitors and commuters to the Bucktown neighborhood by highlighting the charm and local character of the community.

Community Grant Program
Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 to support public programs, events, initiatives, or services that demonstrate a measurable benefit to the community and foster community growth. Eligible initiatives include Special Events, Festivals, Ongoing Programming, Neighborhood Services, or local Marketing Campaigns. Typically SSA funding is used to support Marketing/Promotion, Supplies/Materials, and stipends for artists/performers/educators.

Rebate Programs
Safety Rebates and Security Rebates provide incentives for owners/tenants to make improvements to their properties that enhance public safety, quality of life, and the visual aesthetic of Wicker Park Bucktown.
Review Schedule
2025 Community Grants will be reviewed and voted on monthly at SSA Commission meetings. Please make sure you are submitting a Community Grant application for an event/program that will occur AFTER the upcoming Commission meeting. You can view the full Commission Meeting Calendar here:
