Monthly Networking Events and Quarterly Business Forums
Develop your “social capital” at the Chamber’s monthly Business After Hours receptions where members can learn about each other’s business’ over drinks and conversation. Quarterly business forums also provide an opportunity to meet with your local Aldermen from the 1st and 32nd Wards, the 14th District and 13th District Police Commanders, and our State Legislative and Congressional Representatives.
Business 101
Exclusively available to Chamber Members, Business 101 features free business seminars each month that provide the latest in innovative marketing strategies for today’s small business owner. Topics include how businesses can maximize their websites as a business tool, capitalizing on social networking in the electronic age, effective e-mail campaigns, and text message marketing.
Affordable Medical/Dental Plans for You and Your Employees
Affordable medical and dental plans are available for Chamber Members. Offered by HCH Administration and Olympia Dental, these affordable plans provide you with the coverage you need and the ability to offer your employees coverage. Other business to business services from printing, communication systems, marketing, and computer programming are offered by your fellow Chamber Members. Contact the Chamber office for referrals.
Ambassador Host Program
Host a networking event at your place of business over coffee or cocktails, or serve as an Ambassador on the Chamber’s Membership Committee; welcoming new and prospective Members to the Chamber.
Promotional Opportunities
Street Banner Program
Chamber Members are invited to be the exclusive sponsor of one or more mounted street banners which will feature your business name and address imprinted on both sides for maximum exposure for years to come.
Web and Print Advertising Opportunities
Throughout the year, the Chamber will sponsor co-operative advertising campaigns in print and electronic media; providing Chamber Members with reduced advertising rates. All Members are featured on the Chamber’s website with a complimentary link to their respective sites. The Chamber also publishes a weekly e-blast newsletter and invites Members to submit their own business promotional information for publication.
Annual Festivals and Sidewalk Sales
The Annual Wicker Park Fest and Neighborhood Sidewalk Sales provide you with an opportunity to showcase your business services with a special presence at one of Chicago’s acclaimed summer music fests. The July and August Sidewalk Sales also provide retailers the opportunity to bring their merchandise onto the sidewalks of Wicker Park & Bucktown; offering a festive shopping experience for their customers.
Resource Center and Free Notary Public Services
The Chamber office is your go-to source for neighborhood demographics, community and city government contacts, neighborhood activities and business resources. We are pleased to also offer complimentary Notary Public service for our Members in our offices located at 1414 North Ashland Avenue.
