Green Music Fest continues its mission, making sure Wicker Park gets its party on while leading by example to consider our environmental impact. The 9th annual festival will again feature a people-powered bicycle stage, ecologically-crafted brews by Lagunitas and all you need to learn about leading a sustainable lifestyle.

Green Music Fest takes place on Saturday, June 10th through Sunday, June 11th on Damen Ave between North and Schiller. Admission is $10 suggested donation, and hours of operation are from noon to 10pm both days. Reflecting the progressive and eco-minded Wicker Park-Bucktown community, Green Music Fest fuses original live music with environmental and social activism, sustainable and stylish local retail, arts, crafts, and food. Since year one, Green Music Fest has taken steps to reduce its environmental footprint in areas including waste, water consumption and energy use.

With support from the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and the WPB SSA #33, our commitment to responsible event production is demonstrated in our comprehensive, behind the scenes waste diversion program and staffed Eco Stations throughout the festival - designed to educate and guide you in the proper disposal of your compostable and recyclable items. Green Music Fest challenges its audience to use their minds as well as their bodies by harnessing the power of bicycles as a resource for education. In addition to our people-powered bicycle stage, free bike parking will be offered throughout the weekend as well as other ways to participate and empower Chicago's cyclist community.

Food vendors are required to use compostable food service disposable items and 'virgin' paper items are prohibited. Bottled water is not sold, but water refill stations are conveniently located at every bar. Interested in helping Green Music Fest lead the charge in sustainable event production in Chicago?
