My work exists in a realm of endless imagination where illogical images, dreams, memories, and intuition take visual form with trivial aspects of daily life through oil and acrylic paint. Here, everything we can possibly think of are just as tangible as everyday objects. Since I was a child, I always visit and revisit those same kinds of imagery - ones that scare me, intrigue me, confuse me. The results, which are never predictable, are just as complex and meaningful as they are in our unconscious minds.
With influences as strong as Kim Jung Gi and Salvador Dali, my work is a reflection of my existence that is a part of everyone else’s, or what I would like to call it our unconsciousness.
