The original WPB Master Plan was adopted February 10, 2009 and was created with extensive public input and participation. In 2016, the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and WPB SSA #33 commissioned an update to the original Master Plan. You can view the entire 2016 WPB Master Plan here.
WPB SSA #33 periodically commissions market studies to assess market conditions for existing and prospective businesses in the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods. You can view our 2017 Market Study Brochure here and if you'd like a copy of the detailed market study analysis, click here.
An exciting wayfinding project is coming in 2019 and will include directional kiosks near major transit stations and additional branded signs around the neighborhood to promote walking and active transportation.
Window Works is an initiative launched in 2018 that activates vacant storefronts by funding installations by local artists. Learn more about Window Works here
Wicker Park Fest Arts Area
WPB SSA #33 funds art installations at Wicker Park Fest, one of the largest street festivals in Chicago (organized by Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce).
Every April WPB SSA #33 celebrates Arbor Day by educating the public about the benefits of urban trees.
Working in tandem with the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, SSA #33 funds and designs various promotional campaigns in and out of the neighborhood. Past examples include "Shop Local" campaigns such as We Got It In WPB (2013) and Get Off In WPB (2018).
