New Water Main Work on North Ashland Avenue To Begin
Start Date: Between 9/25/09- 10/1/09
Location: North Ashland Avenue
(between Blackhawk St. & W. Division)
Completion Date: November 2009
Parking Restrictions: ‘No Parking’ signs will be posted as needed during the work hours in the designated construction site as it proceeds block by block. During after work hours parking will be permitted but all cars must be moved by the start of the next work day. Cars not moved will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. Efforts will be made to preserve as much parking as possible to accomodate the needs of residents, customers and businesses.
Traffic Flow: Traffic will continue to flow in both the north and south lanes
Service Interruptions: Water service interruptions will occur for brief periods when service is transferred to the new main line. Adequate notice will be given to businesses and residents when this occurs. If; however, a break occurs in the old main during construction, immediate shut downs may occur. Please notet that the old water main dates back to 1930 and needs to be replaced right away. Your paitence and understanding will be greatly appreciated!

We Got It In WPB! New Neighborhood Campaign Introduced for Wicker Park & Bucktown
We know Wicker Park & Bucktown are considered two of Chicago’s hottest neighborhoods and that’s worth promoting! WPB and the Wicker Park & Bucktown Chamber of Commerce have partnered on a new branding campaign for the community -“We got it in WPB”. In the coming weeks you will begin to see a collection of ads (in Time Out Chicago, Momentum, Proximity, Gaper’s Block, Mindful Metropolis and in CTA buses and stations) that feature some eye and mind catching word play which highlights the many appealing attributes of our diverse and eclectic neighborhoods. You are invited to also contribute your own suggestions for what makes Wicker Park and Bucktown your favorite place to be. Go to We Got It In WPB and give us your ideas!
CTA Open House: Circle Line

CTA representatives will be presenting preliminary recommendations for the proposed Circle Line for public input on Wedneday evening. An assessment of of transit improvement options, including a selection of vehicle types and preliminary corridors will be discussed.
