Whether you're looking for fresh views and artistic escapes, streamed shows and performances to enjoy from that ever-more-sunken spot on the couch, meditation workshops to ease your existential dread, local handmade goods to fill that home you're still gonna be in for a while longer, books and zines to keep you occupied and sharp, records to spin and warm your eardrums, workshops and tutorials to hone some skills and practice hobbies, virtual artist talks and readings, or just trying to find a way to support or engage your local artists, makers, and businesses, this week's WPB Week[IN]d Arts Guide should have you covered!
This guide lists the galleries, bookstores, theaters, shops, and venues help make the Wicker Park Bucktown art scene, with each listing containing links to the website as well as any social media, online shops, virtual programming, or fundraisers so you can stay engaged and show your support! These spaces rely on patronage and public support and many are offering online sales, virtual exhibitions, shows and workshops, books and records to wait out the pandemic, and a variety of local, quality artworks and artisan goods. Some have digital archives and programming that can prove educational, enlightening, and entertaining during these times. All are an invaluable part of our neighborhood. So take advantage of this weekend to enjoy the arts of WPB and show a little love to the people and places that make it possible!
